I need help in deciding whether it is the correct time to make a switch. Currently I am working in Walmart with 3.2 yoe. Salary: Walmart (current): 22.5 base + rsu=25% of base + bonus= 20% of base + benefits Adobe (offered): 26base + stocks 11.5 L per yr for 4yrs + 10% annual bonus + benefits Is switch to Adobe worth it? Or should I stay in Walmart and expect 10% increment in this cycle which makes yearly compensation almost same as Adobe.. PS: I am happy with Walmart (so far) and my work! But do you see growth in Adobe more compared to Walmart? WLB is a priority!!! Anyways, Plz help!! #engineering #adobe #walmart
What team in adobe?
Document cloud doesn't have good WLB either with late night meetings until midnight sometimes. Check with the hiring manager.
Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you. (Don't go looking for unnecessary trouble)
okay, my worry was that I don't become stagnant๐
The current times are very uncertain. If you don't rapidly ramp up and perform exceedingly well in a new job you may be fired. It is a trade-off and you need to decide which is more important for you - stability/risk, WLB/new-learning etc.
Not worth the switch
