I have 10 years of development experience at a few large tech companies (Google, etc.). I'm bored of normal SWE activities and I want a change of pace. Has anybody else made the switch? Sales Engineering / Technical Presales sounds interesting. I am also interested in Product Management, however my gut feeling is that SWE experience isn't really that valued in a PM position (maybe a couple years of XP is?) and if anything may be seen as a liability. I'm considering doing a Masters in Robotics as well but I'm 32 and I think I'd rather be moving away from engineering anyway.
