Wayfair Director Total Comp
Hello all, I was curious from anyone that is with Wayfair or has experience with their offers what the TC of a Director (L6?) offer might look like. The roles are remote, so it probably isn't quite comparable to many of the roles on here posted in Boston. Thanks in advance. #wayfair #salary

Thanks much for the response. What would you expect the breakout to look like? I see quite a few people commenting that the base is capped at $200k regardless of role. I am not near that now, so I was hesitant to sound like I am off my rocker asking for a high amount...but didn’t want to undercut myself either.
Max base is 200k. 20% bonus. Rest is RSU. Some directors get 1M+. If you don’t make close to 500k now, you probably won’t be able to negotiate for 1M+.

The entire point of blind is you give your comp or get the fuck out. Especially when you ask for comp data.
@FcgF10 try looking at levels.fyi Facebook engineering manager makes 600k+ and senior engineering manager makes 1M+. A Wayfair engineering director TC is very broad, roughly covering both the Facebook engineering manager and senior manager TC.
Doesn’t this mean a lot of the L6 tc is based on RSU’s which are white variable and May tank soon . How does the L6 interview loops look like ? Design , coding , behavioral ?
You don’t sound like you’re very familiar with being an engineering director in tech. Every tech company’s directors have more than 50% of their pay in RSUs. L6 loops are behavioral, behavioral, behavioral, and systems design.
Makes sense I am aware it’s heavy on rsus , but the base at wayfair seems way lower than what I have been making as a director
