Heard about the employee walkout taking place. What kind of impact do you think this will bring? I think it’s great that employees can voice their opinions. But do you think Wayfair (or any company) needs to be responsible for how company products are used? 🤔 https://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2019/06/26/3-reasons-to-sell-wayfair-on-todays-employee-walkout/
If they really were serious, they’d quit. But it’s more convenient to threaten a 60-minute walkout.
As if that Blind post a while back wasn’t bad enough.

With all these millennials working now, who uses the product matters. Especially for big corps.
So should people in detention centers have no beds? Isn't it better for people in detention centers to have a comfortable place to sleep? I feel like protests like these center the thoughts and ideas of the protesters but not those who are impacted (those who are detained). For example, what if wayfair suceeds in not selling the detention center beds and as a result the detention center uses less good beds -- does that make protesters at wayfair just? or does it make them selfish?
They should have beds, but if wayfair is doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, they shouldn’t profit off of this
Lol so you're saying wayfair should gift the beds to detention centers?
TC matters most, but what the company actually sells also matters
Agree, I think it'd be different if wayfair was selling them torture devices or something, but it's a goddamn bed made for people to sleep on and rest...isn't that a good thing that everyone deserves?
Agree, but to counter what ushrohw said, it's more that selling to the government will only embolden the government's most heinous actions. Of course everybody deserves basic human dignity, the protest surely isn't against that
Kids won't have beds.
Should Crest employees boycott because they’re providing the toothpaste now? Are we really going to make it HARDER for these kids to get beds. This is ridiculous.
Wayfair isn’t the only company making beds.
We shouldn't make it easier for concentration camps to exist.
Fire all of them!
Why ?
Because they are flock of sheep
So people who are sad about bad conditions in those ICE camps are complaining about govt buying more beds for those immigrants to make their life a little bearable in those camps? I don’t understand the logic. 🙁
Same. I consider myself super progressive and I don’t understand this protest.
I think it’s about the idea of profiting from the camps, not making beds for children. Also, if Wayfair had refused, it’s not like they’re the only option.
