Just got an offer from Wayfair. 160k base salary + 10% bonus based on performance + 640 units stock. This is for a SRE role. On their offer they valued their stock at $300/share...which is not what Wayfair stock is worth right now. So in the email the TC says 224k but really it is more like 203k if you use their current stock value. I am a cloud engineer currently at Intel. I have 6 yoe not counting internships, one class left for my MS in mathematics. I have never switched companies before or even interviewed before recently lol. Remote work has opened up new opportunities, before I didn't have a lot of options where I lived and I didn't want to move. Current comp at Intel (senior cloud developer, grade 6 but manager has said twice I should be a grade 7): 120k base salary, total comp 137k. Thoughts on this offer? I still have my on-site with Tinder and Compass scheduled so I will not negotiate until I hear back from them most likely. #wayfair #compass #tinder
I’d finish the other interviews to get competing offers to negotiate with, but in the absence of those, this is nicely better than what you’re at
They value their stock at 300, but in reality it has been below 200 for more than a month. May be you can negotiate on this point.
I’d try to see if they will offer a sign on bonus that would help close the gap in RSU value
I’d increase base and equity to get to top of L3 band at 300k+ TC prior to negotiating a 100k sign on.
I know this is an old thread, but is 100k sign on bonus a realistic ask at Wayfair? Can't tell if this is a joke or not
Isn’t wayfair base capped at 200k ?
Yes

70k bump from current job is pretty good, definitely isn’t the worst offer to accept
