Recently I get the waymo L5 offer as internal transfer, 205k base + 15% bonus + 30k sign on + 400k/4 RSU at 409a price. But I also get the E5 offer from FB which is 205k base + 15% bonus + 100k sign on + 700k/4 RSU which is very similar with my TC at Google. Any advice on those offers and mostly how to valuate the Waymo's RSU? I'm not quite convinced about its value and the 409a price which is about half for external buyer, before the real IPO internal price expectation is too biased. #waymo
That’s very common sign on bonus for L5 at fb
Not it is not
Then u missed chance to negotiate…. For L4, I got 75k without much negotiation
I got 75k bonus at L4
Why would you join FB, if u get paid the same as google?.?? If there is time to negotiate, Fb offer can atleast go up by 100k/ rsu

FB RSUs and sign on are max for E5. Base can be more. I got a similar offer
In hindsight, FB stock crashed.
FB RSUs = real money, Waymo RSUs = potential money. If you are looking purely at economics then FB is the clear winner. Waymo will not go IPO until it is profitable and that wont be anytime in, oh, the next 10 years or so.
That’s pretty much top of band for FB E5. Well done.
Yoe?
It's simple, value them at the 409a price. If they have pre-IPO cash out events, which is likely given IPO is years away, they will be at the 409a price. The reason the external price is higher is those shares are a lot less risky. They are not buying the same shares that you are being given. I would ask them to bump up the Waymo RSUs. Base+bonus are ok, but 100k is below L5 equity on levels.fyi, they are trying to low ball you with this external price nonsense.
Damn 100k sign on
Chill bro after tax it is not that much
You're right, Amazon $50k isn't that much.
