Given the recent competition in AV—How much do you think $300,000 RSUs are worth in 5 yr?
Less than 300K. AV hype has been dying down since 2017-18. Disclaimer: MLE at an AV company
Waymo is the leader in this space and have been making great strides since inception of the google self driving car project (10years ago). Waymo also has potentially multiple sources of income (selling custom made Waymo lidars to other companies - this is a huge revenue stream, they might even sell other hardware pieces used to make its self driving cars). Only AV company with in house hardware tech. What do you think the progress will be in another 5 years? It’s pretty promising. They have started Completely driverless rides in Arizona last week (only AV company to do this), check the vids on YouTube. https://youtu.be/tBJ0GvsQeak
So >300,000 then
Yes, however I’m a bull on Waymo, but in the end you need to truly believe in the tech and the direction of the company - not just what people on blind (including me) tell you! To me, Waymo is a long term investment. If you want to cash in early, most likely not the best company for you.
I think Tesla is better
Check disengagement report. Waymo and Cruise at the top. Tesla at ?

Do you get to keep your G unvested equity?
Yes - but OP is not an internal transfer
Wow that's awesome. So if someone from within G transfers to W they get additional W stock on top of unvested G stock?
