Can anyone help me understand what is WeWork Saga in the simple term? P.s. - Thank you all the amazing folks here on blind who explained me in simple terms. Now I got it what is all fuss about WeWork. P.p.s - I was reading Elon Musk's biography, and this line hit me hard. Not exactly word by word. "Most founders consider startups as an easy way to make money. And investors pour money like idiots."
What is the point of tagging Google and Facebook for this explanation?? They are suppose to know about wework and then explain it to you :)
For higher reach. Some people explicitly follow posts for Facebook and Google. Nothing else Sir/Madam.
Simple. There is no We in WeWork.
We don't tell horror stories to 5 year olds. Edit: wait 5 as in age or YoE?
Bullshit real estate sub lease company that pretended to be a tech company itself and a bunch of morons fell for it, but then realized when they thought about it and now we're here.
WeWork is a real estate company that wanted to be worth what a tech company is worth. Their business doesn't scale like technology does. People on Wall Street started calling them out on this as their IPO was approaching. They cancelled their IPO to avoid an embarrassment. The largest investor bought the company entirely from the CEO and now he has no relationship with it whatsoever. It will probably continue being a company, but will likely never go public or be highly profitable.
Lol
It is past your bed time go to sleep else the tequila drinking bare foot monster will come grab you and elevate your conciousness ...
Company tricked investors into thinking losing money forever is a good way to make money.
The CEO become WeveWorked and retired with ton of money and the rest become WeWorked
WeWork tried the old play of acquiring real estate and renting it out but lost out. Regus.com is another option that is worldwide and publicly traded
Lol
