So. I’ve been trying to go on a diet for a while, because I’m unhappy with my body shape. Everything I eat goes straight to my stomach and stays there. I eat healthy enough and do yoga a few times a month, but the weight just won’t go away. Anything I’m missing? Edit: To everyone who responded so quickly, thank you so much! I’ve been avoiding exercise because I’ve grown excuses for myself. Tomorrow I’ll take a nice jog in the morning, and try do one every morning to track my progress. Thank you all again!
Eat less
“Everything I eat goes straight to my stomach” Are you sure? Mine usually takes a walk around the throat and the esophagus before reaching my stomach.
I become bloated after a meal if that makes sense?
If you’re bloating you might have a food allergy. Do an elimination diet and find foods that don’t cause you to bloat. Also, simply walking 2 miles will improve your digestion by pushing stuff around in your gut and intestines more. I “de-bloat” by walking. Lots of gas expelled.
Abs are made in the kitchen
Weight is mostly related to burning calories. Less food will always result in loosing weight. But you need to round that out with exercise. Yoga a few times a month probably isn’t enough. From exercise you will gain muscle mass which will burn more calories. Try doing something a couple times a week at least. I dropped from 230lbs to 195lbs through exercise. Now I’ve started intermittent fasting, I don’t eat between 8pm and 11am, and it has gotten me down below the 195lbs wall I hit.
Find out what motivates you and tap into that. For me, it was turning the process into a game with an activity tracker. Helped me realize my calorie intake vs output. That in combination with exercises classes which taps into my competitive side. And for days I just don’t want to get aggressive at a class... yoga Matt outside with a couple of kettle bells. What motivates you?
Dancing is a tiring but fun activity, but I usually only last about an hour before tiring out completely. Although I will take the advice, thank you!
An hour is great! Keep dancing. Maybe try barre? Variety is the spice. Just keep at it. You’re doing great.
Trade mill is your friend
Simple, eat less. Eating healthy doesn't matter at all for weight gain, track your actual calories.
Use apple cider before having dinner or lunch
Pseudoscience bs
Apple cider is loaded with sugar. That’s the last thing you’d want to consume if you’re trying to lose weight
Any advice given here is going to be wrong. Or contradictory.
