Why no one cares about the lives lost in Gaza, Israel and busy in their own lives?
According to yahoo finance: * $1mil+ NW in liquid assets is considered high net worth * $5mil to $10mil+ is considered very high net worth * $30mil+ is considered ultra high net worth The article also has what income level makes you rich, which is basically making 800k annually (in 2021) along with some other views of where the line is drawn. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/income-level-considered-rich-140003986.html
Yawn. I'm getting tired of these NW posts. Do you guys watch your NW and shag off to sleep?
It’s Blind. They actually probably do
🤣
Rich is whatever amount you need to stop worrying about inconsequential materialist crap. So most blinders will never get there
Average Blinder is high NW in their 20s so Blind nation is the richest in the world
8 figures is high net worth if you only look at major cities. 7 figures is super common in the top 5 cities.
I don’t consider $5m to be “high” NW. I feel poor AF.
So sorry to hear about your homeless trouble. How do you get by?
Serious. My bank accounts are in the crapper. Fkn IRS - I had to pay a 6-figure amount. I had to cancel our vacation plans… so having a high NW don’t mind anything - basically broke cash-wise (checks bouncing, overdraft fees, etc).
You are wealthy when your passive income exceeds your burn.
Good definition
It has to be double the burn or you’ll get killed by inflation if you’re spending all your gains each year. i.e. 4% rule assuming average returns are 8%
if it's millions it's not good. Only billions or more
10m+ liquid should put you worry free for the rest of your life, as long as you’re stupid with your money. So 10m+
Yeah. And the key word there is liquid.
The one thats always more than yours... everytime you break into a new NW band, youre the poorest guy in that band
What percentile is 800k for the states? Would be interesting to see how it compares to eg the U.K., Switzerland etc
Individual income it’s probably about 99.8th percentile ?
Interesting, from a quick google search the equivalent in the U.K. is probably 400-500 USD (a guess based on 350GBP being 0.1% in 2008). Guess it makes sense as your comp is nearly double :(
