For Hardware roles ( MS + 4yrs exp ). #tech #hardware #apple #nvidia #amd #meta #msft #amazon #google Current TC : 🥜🥜 120k
What hardware role specifically? It can vary a lot
200k+ possible in Austin? For HW?
200k+ will easily set you apart from most folks in Austin. Especially if you outer reaches like Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Leander.
A decent house in the suburbs in +1m$ with 200k$ is not really a lot anymore.
Your decent house is subjective so that’s incorrect. Someone who doesn’t have kids and is single or 2 people could have differing views. I wouldn’t sound so sure if I were you. So basically what you’re telling me, is that you can’t afford a $1m house on 200K TC in Austin, which is absolutely false. These things come all the way down to low level shit like how much do you spend on food. Everything for everyone is different, but it’s 100% doable. You’d be stupid to think otherwise. Also not everyone wants a $1m house.
More the merrier, 150-200 will give you a good comfort to start with
You can easily get 200k+ in Austin. Trust me coming from recruiting.
Care to elaborate? I'm curious to know which companies pay 200k+ for someone in the HW domain with only 4 YOE in Austin.
I am curious too! Doesn't seem realistic for HW
What are y’all including in TC? Is that just Base + Bonus? Or stocks, benefits, etc.
TC or GTFO please! 🥜 is not a number. Please follow Blind etiquette.
120-140 base is liveable in the suburbs. 200TC+ is optimal for the area.
To live comfortably in any area, you’d need a 1:3 ratio or less of income to median property price. If 1:1 you start living like a king. 1:5 you start to feel the pressure to budget. That is if you are a homebuyer
Blind number - min 1M
Too low, at least 1.07 due to inflation.
Rofl yes. Good call.
