Thinking of applying for NASA, but are they prestigious? Or are they just another entity of the government? I heard they pay pretty low too.
Prestigious but salary is super low
Apply spacex or blueorigin
Worse than Amazon
The hours are indeed worse (55-80 hours on avg) but from SpaceX I’ve heard there is very little toxicity and everybody works super hard because they want to and helps each other, unlike Amazon
Never heard of them, can’t be prestigious
Pay is low, you can check federal pay off individuals doing the same role to get an idea. I declined to become a civil servant because of compensation. If you plan to settle for the pension then it's a good idea though. SpaceX provided an offer and that would theoretically cover about 10 years of pension just with their RSU they offered.
