What are some interesting ways to socialize with intellectuals in Seattle

Hello Blind Community, I am moving to Seattle in couple months. Seattle being home to companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Twitter, etc I believe there are some of the smartest minds living there. They say you should always surround yourself with people smarter than you. Being said that, I would love to know from the people who live here or have lived, how does a newbie in the city meet new interesting people and make friends with them? What are some of the best spots/meetups in city. What does the social life look like? Where does the coolest people hangout? What was/is your experience when you first moved to the city?

Go up to a person on the street and say "hello! Greetings fellow human. I am looking for humans to have mutual intellectual conversational exchanges with for pleasure. Mind you point me in the right direction where those beings hangout? The coolest ones please."

I’ve always found Seattle to be a cold place, devoid of social interpersonal skills - the Seattle freeze (as I’ve been told time after time) sadly IS real. The people from Seattle think it’s ok to continue freezing others out, almost like a badge of honour. Compared to Europe, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Seattle sucks from a meeting new people perspective. Just my humble opinion.
