Your US status is completely unrelated to your eligibility to a Canadian status. That said, surprisingly, the quickest way to work in Canada is applying for a PR.

A sponsored visa, like H1B, is actually more complicated because it involves a green card like process where a company has to provide evidence that they couldn’t recruit a citizen/PR.
