What do you think. I've been at AWS 3 years and can barely stand it anymore. It's getting hard to not go off on crap leaders and incompetent partner teams.
Why not try other teams in AWS/Amazon?
Uh fucking hate Amazon and the shit Wallstreet/Big Law meat grinder culture...all the stupid docs, etc.
Cloudera is really a chill company. My brother works there and company provides lot of time off. One Friday every month and 1 week in every 6th month. Go for good work Life balance.
Its a downlevel. L6 TPM joined recently as the VP of Integration, whatever that means. She is clearly very low level and is going to have a bad time in enterprise software at $1B+ scale. Some things she said at the all hands were just cringe. Also expect no raises. The culture is quite chill and you get 20 extra days of holidays. So if you like to chill out and ok with the TC for quite some time, this might be good
How much is the TC? I would say if you don’t see any growth and support from your manager/team at Amazon. Not worth it. Just switch.
