Curious how mine stacks up with others. Add your status. Me, wife, kid. Mortgage/ins/prop tax: 3400 Car payment: 300 Fuel: 200 Preschool: 1400 Groceries: 400 Water/gas/elect/trash: 250 Phone/cable/internet: 250 Misc-eating out, etc: 300 About 6500/month. Im barely getting by.

We get by fine, but we both work and my income covers all expenses.

If you are young, definitely travel more, I wish I had instead of saving money, more I have lot of money but cannot travel much due to family commitments.
