Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
And what actions warrant layoffs? Obviously loading and watching Netflix. What about listening to music from YouTube or Spotify? Maybe they also track total active time on machine to make sure the cursor is moving/working 8 hours? Count of slack messages or GitHub merges? #tech #layoffs
Microsoft teams is basically spyware
I have watched Netflix / YouTube, shopped on Amazon, browsed LinkedIn, paid my credit card bills, submitted school apps (basically any non-shady stuff) on my work laptop across 3 firms so far. You are considering yourself too important if you think your company really cares about your online activity. Everything is logged, but just that.
Meta knows how many times you picked up your work phone per day...
Dude, anything you do on that work device can be reported on....anything. if you don't want someone to know, don't use a work system, or network.
The other point is does your company care? Most companies have issues with apps, and tools on your system, and browser history. Others have crawlers that report when certain words are said "kill, bomb, gun" for examples. It really is up to the company. I will say though if they are looking to let you go, looking at your browser and system activity is a great way to have cause for firing.
Post a photo of you playing golf during office hours and comments "what a relaxing work from home day"
Lol seriously? What world do we live in?
Wdym? Is it an absurd question?
