Hi, What would my total compensation (please provide breakdown if possible) look like for SDE1 in Vancouver, 1.5 years exp and a Master's degree. I'm in the middle of negotiation and some numbers would be super helpful! (PS: I don't have another offer as I wasn't actively interviewing. My interview however went reasonably well I think) Thanks.
88k plus stocks
Around 85k to 95k CAD + stocks for sde1 Vancouver
So no cash bonus etc? What about relocation? I'll be moving from the east coast. What would be the value of stocks they would give?
If you move from East coast just know that Vancouver on paper doesn't sound so expensive but in reality it's painfully expensive. You can negotiate for relocation.probs 3k to 7k. Bonus most likely not for sde1.
New grad offer starts at ~130k and SDE2 starts at around 160-170k. Since you have a master's degree and some experience, I'm guessing that you'll fall somewhere between that range. Most likely you don't have any local competing offers that can match what they give you, so I doubt you can negotiate.

you'll probably be pointed to levels.fyi haha but I have a similar question for Seattle, SDE1, 2 YOE so I'm curious. Expecting the numbers today or monday
It depends on largely on your interview performance and competing offers. Max is 170k and new grads get ~135k so those are the upper and lower bounds for seattle (bay and NYC can go up to ~200k). If you interviewed for sde2 and got downleveled, you will likely be on the high end of that range.
Ahh okay, recruiter asked for a number first and I said $170k total comp bc I'm a negotiation noob and got that from levels. $150-170k would be ideal
