What problem does Air Taxi solve? Short haul transport for the rich? Someone has to pave the way I suppose.

As an industry outsider whose interviewed with two of these companies They genuinely believe the cost will be competitive to Uber.

They have no idea on how to certify these toys and of course how much it will cost. Wakeup call coming up soon (joby already delayed their entry into service to 2025).

Oh itโ€™s not gonna be cheaper than Uber . Currently they are spending money like itโ€™s free. How does HR lady becomes 10% owner in the company ? She has 0 technical contributions. A lot of malarkey going on

Alright help me out here, Archer pursued me pretty aggressively, but I turned them down. Just a gut check check I guess, but something felt off. Is it just a greedy grab of a budding startup or is it a house of cards?

Archer could you refer me?

Couple of key questions nobody looks for: - Increasing cost of batteries & raw materials - Environmental impact(noise, biological ecosystem, AQI from dust &debris) - Charging / port infrastructure - regulation/ certification / flight safety - Real cost of flight per mile(pretty much all airline companies underestimate this and lose money)

If the cost was double the cost of an Uber, I would consider using a vertiport to go to an airport or go from an airport into the heart of a major city. I turned down an interview with Archer before they went public. I'm comfortable in a MCOL city and not looking to move.

Even the most pessimistic assumptions are indicating this market has the potential to be massive. Biggest barriers are raising capital in this environment (obviously) and the reliance on the FAA, who is bloated, slow, and more bureaucratic than I ever knew.
