I left Google 3 years ago, and i have around 40K in sitting in Google 401(k) account. What are my options? I just don’t want that money to be in there. Any ideas / tips ? TC: 400k
Google's 401K is very good, <0.01% expense ratio for the 500 Fund, you could probably keep the money there.
I have an old Google 401k with Vanguard. Rates are indeed good. However, the available funds have returned far lower than what has been available with my current Fidelity 401k.
Convert to Roth IRA and avoid tax when withdraw. Unless the government changes their mind but there will be riot if they try to…
Well yea you can’t avoid tax and death. The key is do you want to pay tax on 40k or 4 million?
That’s the typical reason why people stick with 401k. To each their own, I aim to be in higher bracket, not poorer. Also the state no income tax doesn’t save you from federal tax.
