Bring data, write out what you want to say and donât mean anything as a personal attack. Itâs ok to be emotional or critical but it has to all be constructive. Come with some ideas of your own that âmight workâ.
Agreed , donât be emotional and use flippant comments âheâs useless, we all hate himâ . Provide concrete examples but also do be balanced (if possible) I.e. â they were trying to do the right thing but itâs how they went about and engaged ..... etcâ

Avoid negative conversations.
You need to bring examples that focuses on the manager's poor work. I recommend to avoid being emotional, especially as you are a manager (probably a team lead) who represents your people at this conversation. Beyond that, the director won't necessarily have answers for you at that meeting and might need to think about things, so set your expectations accordingly about the outcome of that meeting.
