What do full stack SWEs at Meta do?

If you’re a full stack product swe, how much of your time is spent doing front end versus backend work?How much new HTML, CSS, React code are you writing? Or is most of your time spent doing backend? If you mainly like backend work, is it worth joining a product team as a full stack developer, or will you have to spend a lot of time writing new user interface code?

This is going to depend entirely on your team and be impossible to answer in general. I'd ask during team matching.

Do you really think the point of asking on Blind was to get a conclusive answer that covers every team, or do you think maybe it was to get anecdotes from people such as yourself?

Anecdotes really won't be helpful here. There are teams that span the entire spectrum from entirely frontend to entirely backend and every combination in-between. Sorry, but the most useful answer is that there is nothing like a Meta-wide standard for this and it's entirely luck of the draw with the teams you talk to.
