Still trying to figure out why software engineers are considered skilled workers
As an Engineering manager I can’t get SDE’s who can meet Amazon’s technical bar so sure this is a high skilled profession [Canadian here].
You make the assumption that Amazon’s technical bar has legitimacy. The technical bar selects for the most unskilled engineers possible, with the trade off that those engineers work fast and ship their bad code as quickly as possible.
Maybe he’ll try to create some new Trump voters by turning folks with decade-long waits for GC into Citizens. But probably not.

It means that Mexico will pay for something
H1-B visa and green card holders cannot vote. So why would Trump brother do anything in their interest? If anything he will just make the program more strict so that fewer American jobs are "stolen".
The Forbes article implies that the tweet by Trump was a 'big' nothing - so complete jack shit. (I hope I'm wrong; H1-B worker/sufferer here)
