What do you love about living in San Francisco?

I will be moving to the bay, and all I read (besides tourist webpages) is how hard and terrible the city really is, and how everyone is leaving... tell me the good things please!! What do you do for fun? How do you get outside? How do you meet new people? What is your favorite neighborhood? Thanks :)

I love the used heroin needles and human feces in the streets. The strong scent of urine that never gets washed from the sidewalks. The rows of tents and other makeshift shelters lining the sidewalks. The crazies who taunt you and follow you if you look in their direction. Beautiful and safe SF

I work and live in the South Bay but my social life is based in SF. Its a really fun city with lots of things to do, depending on your hobbies. There are lots of tech Meetups, gyms, running clubs, night clubs, bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. It's super easy to meet new people in social events like Meetups or classes, for example I recently took a coffee brewing class at a specialty coffee shop and meet some cool people. I generally go to clubs where EDM artists play and there's a big event happening almost every weekend. I've already got a girlfriend so my dating life is in the past, but if you're outgoing, decently fit or good looking, and have an interesting personality and interesting hobbies dating shouldn't be hard at all. There are lots of homeless people you'll have to avoid, and just don't go into the tenderloin or other bad parts you should be fine. Ignore the haters. If you're young and outgoing SF is the place to be.

Depends on what you like to do. Clubbing? Got it. Beer? Plenty of it. Mix of speakeasies and dive bars to sports bars. Tons of outdoors stuff if you like hiking. Great food. Brunch is serious here. Like wine? Wine country is close enough.

It's only 7 miles by 7 miles so people get shocked by how close they have to be to shitty areas. Not knowing every major city has these problems its just easier to avoid when you're not cramped. But outside of a couple bad blocks SF is a unique and cool looking city. If they could afford it plenty of people I know would live there.

No major city has as many homeless per square mile as San Francisco. Not even close.

That's a lie 😂

Human feces, dog shit, vomit and urine on sidewalks are the best. You will love it

Orgies. It's hard to get into a group. But once you do, it's amazing !!

Troll?

How do you get into them?

SF is great. Infinitely better than Seattle and well worth the 20% in increased costs/taxes. People have conversations outside and outdoor activities don't involve just skiing.

It has: A beach Great waterfront Good shopping A nice park Great museums Theatres The bridge for bike rides Chinatown Good clubs and bars It's picturesque Enough transport to get by without a car Very good food Nice neighborhoods It's very expensive, somewhat dirty and has lots of homeless people though

I just don’t like the smell and litter. Everything else about the city is nice.
