There are two timelines. One set in the year 2011. And another set in the year 2051. The story runs parallel switching back and forth between the timelines. The 2011 timeline is mostly black and white except for the color red just for aesthetics. In the year 2011, 25-year-old Joe works for a small software development company with minimal promos and no RSUs. He starts suffering from crippling anxiety about the future. He knows he can't retire with $150k pay and most importantly, he knows that becoming old isn't fun. Living in a nursing home with medication dripping into his body isn't exactly fun. He also doesn't want to be a walmart greeter at 75 years old because of no savings. He wants to really enjoy his life in the present and not worry about the consequences in the future. He stumbles upon an International crime syndicate and orders a hit on himself in-order to spare himself the misery and poverty of 2051. The Crime Syndicate agrees to make the hit in the year 2051 and demands $10,000 as payment. In-order to cover his involvement with the syndicate, Joe buys 10,000 Bitcoins for $1 each and transfers the amount. This is recorded into the syndicate database and a future hit remains in progress till the year 2051. Flash-forward to the year 2051. Each Bitcoin is worth $10 Million USD. The bounty is now worth $100 Billion. The bounty is executed and all the hitmen get the notification regarding the bounty. Flash-back to the year 2021. Having placed the hit on himself, Joe's existential angst gets resolved. Perfect freedom from fear + No worries or thoughts about the future draws people to him like crazy. He becomes charming and confident. He boldly pursues his dreams because failure doesn't matter given he has a hard cap on mortality. He starts a company and gets rich. Totally forgets about the bounty hit. He has a family (1 wife and 2 children and a labrador) and is content. Time passes by and he is 65 years old and the year is 2051. Now the timeline is in sync. He receives a text from his personal assistant that someone wants to kill him. He then remembers the original deal and starts shivering. He then Liam Neesons the top best assasins in the world who are out trying to kill him. He then takes down the entire crime syndicate. Finally he retrieves the 10,000 BTC from the syndicate. He then lives happily ever after for the next 10 years and then is placed into a nursing home and then dies there miserable and alone just like he was always afraid of. The End.. credits starts rolling.
Did you just watch Tenet?
Crappy ending. Aging would be cured by then. Maybe end with him blowing up the btc key to kill the bad guy boss. Then cut to a backup key
Why just stop taking down whole criminal syndicate. Why not take down government and become world conquer.
ππ. There are hit movies with far worse stories
Conclusion after 10s read: Op is a Bitcoin hoarder
Excellent story. I would watch this.
GTFO with your BS
Beautiful!
Paraphrasing Billy Madison, everybody that read this script is dumber for it. (No offense OP π)
I donβt know why people are hating the story so much but it sounds pretty decent to me. There are movies with worse plots. Iβd watch this one. Good job!
This is the stupidest thing I have read all week.
