What do you think of Google's new G-Suite logos?

Google is rolling out new logos recently. In the screenshot, the 1st row has all the old ones, 2nd row are the new ones. What do you think about the new design? #google #tech

Their efforts to insert a bit of red... Idk why. Starting to look too colorful. Fb is the same. Anyone at Google can please shed light on the why?

Both companies cultures insist on ICs creating work for themselves, redesigns are work even though everyone hates them.

fb? Are they planning on changing their logo too? On my phone/laptop it's still blue

Way too similar 👎

Idk why, but these icons make me think of their business tier instead of consumer tier software

Wait for a few years and they will abandon these products as well

Harder to interpret. Google hasn't made a sensible UI change since different view sizes in gmail. ...and now Millbrae, a city a short drive up the freeway from Google's HQ, has to change their logo again 😁

It's more colorblind friendly. Used to be you could tell by the color what you were broadly dealing with, e.g. green = hangouts, red = gmail blue = calendar. This is not fair to the colorblind. We need to be diverse and inclusive on how we present our products

Cognizant KRnk51 Oct 27, 2020

Are you being sarcastic? I'm not colorblind so I'm not sure about the issue, but I thought they could use the shapes to figure it out

Microsoft 40 GLOCC Oct 27, 2020

Yeah I'm sarcastic 😂

I never understood googles constant drive to tweak their logos. I saw the main logo change dozens of times in last decade. Can someone from google explain what is the purpose of this?
