I have a bunch of PTO saved up but don't have many friends to travel with. One option would be to go on a trip planned by a social club. But worst case, there's always the option to go solo. I'd love to hear peoples' experiences, good or bad. #pto #vacation #travel
I've done a bunch of solo trips to Germany and the Netherlands. Would highly recommend it - it's fun, you get to see awesome places, eat good food. You could try and also plan some trips around areas you might have friends in
hard to imagine that good food could ever mean eating wieners only at Germany
+1 on traveling alone. You learn so much about yourself.
When you travel alone, people go out of their way to help you.
It also helps to have an extremely attractive partner. You can leverage their skills and looks to get better treatment and extra travel perks like free things from rando people
If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.
yeah do hard performance enhancing drugs alone to push yourself harder and taper off them before you work at a team to at least pretend like you’re sane. good advice Amazon. When it comes to studying more is more.
It is an African proverb that was written in some building walls at Microsoft when I worked there.
travel with a partner. pphand life isn’t fun and there’s nothing noble about it
Wait what’s a social club? Is this an NYC thing?
I guess they exist in most big cities. I haven't tried them yet, but in the bay area I've heard of two: @cluburbandiversion and @urban_adventure_club. They hold regular events of all types, most within the area but also some multi day trips.
Solo then you can meet other people
OP are you a guy or girl? Looking for travel buddies!
Solo trip to Thailand
Solo. learn about yourself, explore, meet new people, try new things
I think you should try both, try like a week with the social club and see how that goes. But it doesn't hurt to travel alone
