UPS layoffs, citi layoffs, tech layoffs, homeless folks everywhere in every major city, only waiter jobs are in demand? Unemployment rate is fake number it only tracks ppl who are looking for work not those who have given up. I think we're living in lies made by the media. Anyone with a brain would see this. Stock and housing market is great, but seems really detached to the real economy.
It’s a scam
Absolutely. Also the inflation % is manipulated in reports. The truth is that COVID and trade war did a lot of damage globally. The irresponsible fiscal policy had led us to a territory where traditional economic policy does not work too well any more.
Bro you’re embarrassing yourself. No one said these layoffs were due to poor economy. “Anyone with a brain would see this”, what arrogance for someone that knows so little. Of course the stock market is “detached”, they aren’t the same thing. Everyone becomes a policy expert when they get big mad
Purchase power of money is much less than 10 years ago, People are feeling poor. More and more homeless people. I don't know much about econ, I use common sense. If the economy can be better while most ppl becomes more poor, that's why I think we live in lies. Note it's not mentioned in my post that economy is bad, you're assuming i am saying it's bad because i talk about the layoffs. The economy can be "very strong", with all this happening
That's time value of money. Purchasing power always decreases over time. The best way to combat that is to increase productivity.
Homelessness results from wealth - areas that have so much housing demand that it literally becomes unaffordable for some. This is a common misconception
If they can find a 50k job, they should be able to rent and live fine in somewhere?
I’m making more money than ever, the stock market is at an all time high, unemployment at 50 year lows. Yeah, the economy is looking pretty good from where I stand.
Typically it means that the economy is growing (GDP is increasing) and unemployment is low.
It means the economy is strong. No one gives a shit about tech layoffs
Bank, UPS
"the economy is strong" == "The Emperor's New Clothes" they just want you to believe what they say.
Election year
