Long story short, I interviewed with Apple, was approved and started negotiating the compensation. However, after a couple of weeks, I learned that I was initial placed one level below the equivalent level at Meta I am right now. The hiring committee determined that I had the potential for one level up, but I'd have to do another interview focused in soft skills (I believe the hiring manager called it "leadership interview", not sure it's the official name). Question: does anyone has any tip or material to share so I can prepare for this interview? I'm confident I can do well, but culturally Apple and Meta are polar opposites and I'd feel better if I get some context. Thanks! #meta #apple #interview
YOE? What level is the interview for? I believe some Sr director or above will interview you. Try to map experiences with what 🍎 stands for, mission, values eg: customer privacy 🍌 LP’s are good guidelines
Sorry, 10 YOE, interview for ICT5.
I recommend you put product first and you will pull resources and navigate in any way possible to deliver. Basically QA and product integrity is king. If either fails, then you will present the reasons why it’s not a good idea to release, where you or others effed up and clean path forward to avoiding this issue again, new deadlines and how you shall resolve this.
In my case, the position is for backend, so not much exposure to “product”. But I got what you mean. This is where both companies are mostly different: Meta culture is to release the MVP and keep iterating based on user feedback.

I thought Apple only revealed your level after you start.
