Can I slack off as E9 at Meta?
PayPal is known to not pay that high salary compared to other tech. Pinterest on the other hand has been paying pretty high TC. What happens to PayPal and Pinterest employees pays if PayPal buys Pinterest? How do employees at Pinterest feel about it??
Who cares about their salaries - I want to know what’s going to happen to my PINS stocks!
Not much will happen, probably won’t go back to that ATH and above from that level anymore and before that PayPal closes the deal.
If the acquisition goes through, you'd just end up opening pypl stocks right? Which is worth way more than pins
They would only be getting the brand. All self-respecting engineers would be gone if the deal closes.
Why will self respecting engineer leave? Because they will love to build pinboards but not crypto wallet?
Hahaha good answer Charles Schwab!
Why will PayPal buy Pinterest?
There’s no overlap between their business models
I will ask Dan next time I see him. In the mean time you can read this - https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/20/pinterest-shares-soar-following-report-paypal-may-buy-it.html
Yeah, not feeling good about it. Will stay for as long as it makes sense but probably 12 months at best.
Curious about this. I have an offer from Pinterest. I'd love to know what the feeling is within the company. Can I DM?
I dont have any information - the news is very new, i dont think it looks good though.
Wtf first I heard. PayPal has that much free cash?
$70 is a rip off, PINS is worth a lot more, at least ATH of $90
Current financial media news says they are offered 45B valuation and $70 share price. For them to get 90 per share it would need 60B valuation I believe. Sounds excessive for them to go that higher from initial evaluation.
IF it happens it will probably be operated separately. Like how LinkedIn pays twice as much as Microsoft even after the acquisition
Came here to comment this. Nothing will change technically for PINS employees as long as they're bringing good revenue.
So naive
We don’t want to sacrifice our salaries. When honey acquisition happened all employees sacrificed their merit hike 🤮
Honey is a no name company though. Pinterest is valued high
For no name company hikes were sacrificed. For PINS, RSUs will be sacrificed 😛
PINS employees must be feeling like a forced arranged marriage 😂
Little bit - yeah.
Yes
Pinterest salaries will fall off after cliff In the shot term tho their stocks will be a lot more valuable coz of acquisition so a lot of people will make bank then hop
