Wife and I are shooting for 5M+. But she is also a dual citizen in a SE Asian country so in 20 years we may be living an early retirement there. Cost of living is 4x less than what it is in Chicago, probably 8x less than the Bay Area.
5+ is true fire. Anything under that you and make sacrifices.
Unless you retire in low COL area/country. In my home country $2M is equivalent to $5M here in the US
