I have a software engineer(ML) interview in which one round would be ML design.
No - design how would you use ML for ranking X
Please can you share an example and what is the ideal way of handling such questions.
You need to explore the problem in a credible way. I'm not a ML person so I don't know what a good answer might look
Design a ML model for Go.

I'd guess data pipelines including data processing and storage... If it were me I'd ask about design and implementation of machine learning toolkits. Data formats, backcompat... Then deployment, monitoring, accuracy testing, counterfactual logging, etc. Lots of fun stuff.
This would be data engineer design question
Op is an engineer though... I'd assume this is what they're interviewing him for. Wouldn't they want a scientist for the trendy Deep Learning-y things? Or is there no such distinction in FB?
