What is TC (Salary + Bonus + Stock) Benchmark for Product Management VP / Director role in top tech companies in NJ / NY
Hey guys, I am new to Blind. And new to job market with around 17 years as Startup CEO/CMO, IT Manager, IT Senior Manager, Architect and started career as Java based product development programmer, I am also google certified, Hubspot certified marketer, AWS certified architect, Sun certified, PMI certified. I have managed large multi vendor teams, multi million dollar portfolios, an agilist, stared six B2B and B2C product startup ventures so far and I am quite hands-on with MySQL, UX, Java, Python, JS, CSS, PHP, Ruby Rails and few other scripting languages. I have been with one company for last 14 years on the side has built six startups, one e-commerce brand still active others I sold in past or closed during COVID. I think now it's time for me to move on with a better role and TC as I am kind of bored at my current day job and kind of not growing much. Can anyone suggest what should be the range of pay package I should be negotiating for. Given I was outside job market for a long, I am gathering as much information possible to better negotiate. You sure collected a lot of accolades but most of the stuff doesn’t matter unless you fit it into a narrative that makes sense to the prospect company. 14 years at one company is a big minus IMO. Just venturing a guess, if you’re as good as your accolades and accomplishments, a good series C startup would probably give you 0.5-1.5% of the company. The base pay would be a rounding error if the company exits successfully. Good luck.
