I'm looking at LinkedIn and I see some titles are "VP" and some are "Corporate VP". What is the difference? I also see some are "Director" and some are "Partner Director". I know that "Partner Director" is a regular Director at FAANG companies. #MSFT #MS #Microsoft
A CVP manages over several VPs. It is a consequence of the title inflation at Microsoft, which made Partner no longer mean anything. Now, people I knew that can barely manages their finances despite making $1M per year are VPs, without any concept of what is a ledger. There will likely be some "new leveling system" coming soon, which will upset many and help with the attrition goals.
Would you say that a CVP at MSFT is basically a Senior VP at a FAANG company? It seems like Partner Director is the same as a Director at FAANG.
Vp is level 70 and cvp is 80
Wonder why they felt the need to jump from 70 to 80. Also didn't realize there was a distinction between VP and CVP.
68-70 are partner levels a
