Reddit is god awful and I hope it dies a slow painful death
Why?
The whole idea of subreddits and community moderators results in nothing but echo chambers and the immediate shut down of any alternative ideas and opinions. And I'm not even taking politically, just in the most mundane niche interests and hobbies It's whole design feeds the internet's insane desire to label opinions as right and wrong
How can Reddit be better? One thing you’d change.
Reddit is a better product than Twitter but Redditors are more toxic than the Twitterati. Overall, Twitter is a shitshow while Reddit is a cesspit. Pick your poison. There is some hope for Twitter now with Musk though. I read this somewhere and it seems apt - Twitter is full of celebrities acting like retards and Reddit is full of retards acting like intellectuals.
I like the communities on reddit. But I don't tend to participate in any that are super large so maybe that's why my experience has generally been positive. Who knows.
Reddit is full of poor dumb people in a massive liberal circlejerk. Twitter with a good curated list can be a treasure trove of knowledge.
No rules have been changed yet? Very premature post
Assume Twitter as it is today, if you want. I am just curious what do people say of Reddit.
Twitter was/is a stupid idea to begin with, only worth using if you care about opinions from politicians and e-celebs Reddit unfortunately had displaced a lot of old internet forums, so you have no choice but to go there for some niche hobbies
Why do people think politicians and celebrities are the only people of interest who use the internet? If I were to ask you who you thought were 50 of the smartest, most insightful, bravest living people today, there's a decent chance at least, I dunno, 5 of them are on Twitter. If you want, you can follow only them and see what they think about things.
Reddit user experience sucks.
Definitely reddit. It's just nice to have categorized porns!
🤣

Reddit is only good for niche subs. Any popular sub is absolutely dogshit
The same can be said of Twitter. There are circles of intelligent discourse. You won’t find it in trending.
Any sub with >1mil subs is filled with dumb losers and neckbeard mods
