Hey Zillow people What is happening to the company? Is it om right track? Your shares are falling since feb 2021, even though there is a real estate boom Meritage, toll, etc builders are seeing a hike in stock price whereas zillow is falling like autumn leaves. Man i invested 20k in zillow in march hoping to get some benefit, but now regretting... #tech #zillow
I feel that Zillow is in a hard place where it is a tech company but is constrained to profits of a non-tech company because of how much it spends on real estate.
Zillow owns Trulia, so Trulia’s stock definitely isn’t outperforming Zillow’s. They’re the same company
It is the sector, not Zillow alone. Look at redfin stock. Look at Opendoor stock. Infact, look at many small growth stocks that are now sitting at or near year lows.
You know that there's a difference between a company and their stock right? Employees can't tell you why the stock is underperforming
Do you even use Zillow? A month ago you couldn’t even see the words for the app. I emailed support and they said “oh yes our engineers know this bug and they are working on it.” Took then another month to push the fix. Basically you couldn’t use the app because you couldn’t read any words they all disappeared
What you should do is call their HQ, let them know you invested $20k, and aren’t rich, and ask them what the hell is going on over there. They’ll tell you all the insider info and also give you the share price for the next 5 years
I think it’s cus Wall Street has already priced in the end of the housing boom. But honestly who knows why Wall Street is tearing our stock down even though we have had record breaking earnings.
Ding ding ding. Correct answer.
No one can predict market sentiment. Also, TC or GTFO.
We beat earnings estimates our stock still went down because Wall Street thinks real estate transactions will slow down. With new construction starting and the push for wfh I believe more transactions will happen. Also 200 was not justified for Zillow. I believe it will go back up to 130-140 if next earnings meet Zillow’s expectations
Ford has been dropping since 2000. What's happening over there?
Thats the most stupidest reply. Not sure how it relates to the question above. But fyi, ford is up 300% since last year.
I am just memeing. If you want the real answer to the question you should go and listen to their earnings call. They probably had not so great predictions or earnings that caused the sentiment to become bearish.
