If I worked at a company like NVIDIA, I’d feel so important. Like a celebrity. Would literally wake up at 6am everyday to do some work, knowing that I’m working at the most prestigious organization on the planet, and that I’d be getting paid handsomely via stock. I’ve been rejected every single time though. Already sent 223(and counting) applications to NVIDIA. Never got through the rounds. Why is it do hard to get in? How many people are interviewed for each role?
If that's true - I don't mean to discourage you, but your approach to have sent 200+ applications and not gone through will kind of put you in a black list. Seems desperate and random applying that would put HMs off. Wait, make sure you make your case why it's different this time when you apply again after a year or so. Ideally by being in touch with a recruiter who can put a note to circumvent the bad picture you have created with 200+ apps and failed rounds. Source: recruiter after I failed 3-4 first rounds and one full virtual on-site.
Holy shit
Are you serious…. Maybe I can make a new email and start over? Reformat my resume too maybe.
The 223 applications may be another reason you are not being considered. Some (not all) recruiters and hiring managers look at that as a red flag, because if you were truly qualified and fit for 223 roles in the company, you would have likely long been hired by now. Otherwise, you are looked at as someone who just sprays resumes everywhere (and 223 in one company is a LOT of spraying)
Fuck i did not want to hear this..
Lol nobody is thinking Nvda employees are celebs. They're just engineers like you. OpenAI is probably way more exciting tbh. That being said, being at a company that has a rocketship ipo is super fun!
I mean it depends on what you wanna do. If you are interested in low level programming, C++, Cuda and compilers then yes it is a great company. But if you want to work on other stuff then no. I would die of suffering if I had to work on compilers/OS level stuff etc.
Stupidity of this OP goes to a different level Sometimes I wonder people like this still exist!!!
This is a stupid ass post. The stock is going to tank anyways
I do feel more motivated because of its success, reputation and interesting work. At my previous place there were constant layoffs and random PIP’s and I had no motivation other than to apply at other places. The only way I got my application to be looked at is because I knew someone who worked there who referred me.
Next level dick rider
I have 18 inactive applications and 1 full ride : had 7 interviews for one position but did not get it :( ( I died a bit inside especially since I thought the interviews went well appart from 1 ) Wonder if I am black listed for now: maybe should give it a break and try again in 6 months ?
Don't be discouraged, this is a very tough market and sometimes even if you performed very well in interviews there was someone else who did just a little better. 18 applications in a short period is kind of a lot and if those roles are different types/domains then recruiters and hiring managers very well could see it as an indicator that you're not qualified or passionate about any of them.
Jobs share similar traits: rendering, computer vision, cuda low level stuff. Those 18 applications are over 3 months…

The job market is absolutely brutal right now
This is such an employee mindset. Stop putting companies on a pedestal. It doesn’t matter where you work, you’re still going to be poor and budgeting your little money at the end of the day. You’re not filthy rich, you’re not flying private jets, and you’re not banging hot 20 year olds. You’re just an employee. Not even a business owner
