Climate change is here and billions of people will be affected. 97% of climate scientists believe that our climate is changing rapidly and its due to the actions of mankind. https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ What does the party in control of the executive branch and the Senate (formerly all branches of government for the past 2 years) plan to do to address the fact that if we do nothing, our planet will have catastrophic effects that will kill millions if not billions of people?

Most of the idiots that buy into climate change, global warming, global cooling or whatever it’s being called this week are too young to realize this scam has been going on forever and just keeps changing names, kind of like Amway. If you don’t know what Amway is, you’ve proven my point. Same BS and illogical hysteria, different name. We’ve been told for over a century the world was going to end by this date or that date which comes and goes and yet nothing happens. Climate alarmists are basically the same people as the crazy homeless guy saying the end of the world is nigh and you must repent.

The most productive thing would be to subsidize LNG and ship it to India/China to displace their coal usage. They produce about half of the carbon today and will likely get to 2/3 by the time catastrophic levels are hit. Nuclear domestically is the other significant path. Between those, you could decrease global carbon usage by up to 20%, not bad given the US only produces 15% of CO2 today. Btw- CO2 is greening up the planet, which acts as a sink for those emissions. The problem isn’t nearly as dire as portrayed in the press when you read the actual studies and probabilities.

Hottest does not imply any disastrous event in the future. Yes the climate technically changes and it always will change. Tomorrow’s weather will be different than today’s weather. Next year’s weather will be slightly different than this year’s weather. It’s not like January 1st’s 2018 temperature has to match January 1st’s 2019 temperature perfectly every year for all of eternity. Sounds like you haven’t read much on the opposing side.

Technology is the only thing that will save us. US is responsible for a tiny portion of global carbon production (vs India/China) and we are never going to make the developing world care about something that matters far less to them in the near term than digging themselves out of poverty.
