The newest WiFi 7 routers from NETGEAR are over $1,000 which seems completely insane. Reviews say they do not even work well. What is a high uptime router (preferably mesh system with dedicated backhaul) for general web browsing, Zoom meetings and streaming YouTube?
Those routers are only useful if your devices support WiFi 7
Google Nest Mesh works just fine. You will not find a single WiFi 7 end device …so it is pointless.
Eero
Ubiquiti is considered the best “prosumer” brand if you want to plug it in. Your very best is going to be running a pfsense box. How much speed are you needing and how busy is your airspace? 6e can get you the new frequencies.
Eero is pretty awesome
Anything is good for general web browsing, zoom, and YouTube. You are not doing anything crazy here.
Another vote for Eero. WiFi 6 is good enough.
Eero if you have echo devices, they can act as mesh nodes and increase range
