Hi All, I’m a product manager in big tech and also run a career coaching service focused on tech. I’m planning to address the hardest pain points on YouTube, and wanted to see what people had a tough time with. Was it organizing job search, writing a resume, tracking apps, transferable skills? Tc: 200k #layoff
Damn OP how much you charge. Looking for somebody who offers this service who isn’t a charlatan using chatgpt
Happy to help, DM me! Typically $300 for resume
Got it, so location and benefits! Have you tried levels.fyi to find something similar?
Gotcha so then either remote, relocate, stay at Google
What’s at RS work? Most of the time the founders of the boot camp establish a funnel to several companies, that’s why it’s a bit easier. They have connections which facilitate the hiring. I’d you are doing a cold apply, you’ll have check almost every box on the job description (pass ats screener), convive recruiter to vouch for you, and then finally the interview process
Do you have any projects you worked on exploring novel ideas? Or patents, even research papers in the industry should be good enough for transferable skills
Leetcode
Studying? Planning? Motivation? What's the biggest struggle?
Are you one of the people who run mobiusengine.ai? Can you point to your service?
Most of what you mentioned is solved by products like Careerflow and Hunter
Most of the jobs pay too less compared to meta or other faang type places. So you really only have very few options if you want good TC. Though there are thousands of tech jobs most pay sub $300k for a 10+yoe unfortunately.
Finding a job that doesn’t suck and that’s not a kool-aid-drinking pile of hypocrisy and corporate bullshit.
This one is my biggest pain point as well. Lately I started reaching out to folks at my target companies to get a sense of the culture
