What is the interview process at Niantic?

Recruiter said mostly algorithms.

We don't have a standardized set of questions - each interviewer has their own. You can expect algorithms, data structures, and system design, LC medium. AFAIK we try not to do annoying stuff like DP though. The process is phone interview, 2x onsite, culture fit with CTO. Onsite includes a "buddy lunch", but it's purely for the candidate's enjoyment and is "ungraded". I've been here for 1 year and am enjoying it so far. Lots of growing pains, but kind and smart colleagues, decent benefits, and high impact work. Feel free to PM me for any additional questions.

What questions should I expect when talking with CTO?

I honestly don't remember, but it's going to be along the lines of "are you able to work well with people in our company".

In addition to algorithms, some interviewers (Minglian is one of them) are excited about cumulative probabilities too so consider refreshing your knowledge there

Do they ask any system design interview questions?
