What is the right role/level for Accenture associate partner/Sr. Manager at IBM? #IBM #accenture #managementconsulting
Accenture has Associate Director in some work streams like Accenture technology delivery. It is a level above sm and below md

Is life really better in the US?
Ex Accenture. There was no role called Associate Partner when I was there. It was Senior Manager then MD, and Principal was for people who didn’t make it to MD. SM at Accenture maps to SM at IBM, same expectations but you won’t get a bonus or RSUs. IBM also has an Associate Partner level in between SM and Partner. A lot of external hires are being put in as AP even though they aren’t ready for it because SM pay ranges at IBM aren’t market competitive. AP level sucks. You work like a dog but don’t get bonuses unless you’re on the top 1-2 accounts in your country. It’s a crowded level due to over promoting for pay/retention reasons and over hiring. I could go on and on but just say no and walk away when IBM comes calling.
