Depends. If someone transitions internally from SWE to Tech Lead salary is on the lower side, anywhere around 10-12LPA. If it’s a lateral movement, i.e hired from outside - salary can go up to 20L.

There’s no position as Eng Manager in Service based companies - at least not in Infosys. The hierarchy is Software Engineer - Senior SE - Tech Analyst - Tech Lead - Project Manager - Senior PM - Group PM - Delivery Head. You can direct reports to you starting from Tech Lead level.
