What happens when most of your team is Indian?
I am a Ph.D intern at Intel labs, I was wondering what is the policy of Intel for applying H1B? Do I have to be at Intel for XX amount of time to get qualified or they will start the process straight away? Is it dependent on the manager? any other relevant information TC: 150K (intern salary) #intel #workvisa #h1b
That start it right away. In my case the first month I joined and not yet finished all my trainings and got this training to apply for GC 😎. That way Intel is super good I should say.
This is on H1 or on OPT?
Both I suppose
They start right away, even while they are laying off some domestic for the same role.
OP are you RoW in terms of citizenship?
I am not sure what is RoW?
rest of the world (ie not india or china)
Intel is great for visa related things. They will apply for stem opt extension, h1b and file for gc as soon as possible
They started mine right away. They also applied for green card at the same time. I had a very pleasant experience with Intel in terms of immigration.
Thanks, were you on OPT as well?
Yes
