In past 2 months, i had 4 different panel interviews to workday different app developer position, i had all positive feedbacks during interviews like everyone liked me and shown green signal for offer and within a week, recruiter arranges zoom call and saying “NO”, no feedback given and end of story. I cant understand. I doubt this process because yesterday evening i had panel interviews finished at 4pm and today morning 10 am recruiter calls and said “we are not moving forward”, i cant understand whats going on!
Clearly not a good culture fit from what I can tell
“I had all positive feedbacks during interviews” you’re mistaking common decency and politeness for interview feedback. Even if you’re a 1/10, I’m still going to be nice and say it was great talking with you, and I hope we chat again soon.
All concludes me, i am taking long route to get a job! Direct applying from linkedin... not looking for referrals... but actually i dont have any! Will work hard next time... thank you..
You’re probably not a minority
Possible! Team was like me only!
Yeah. That will hurt you far more than any job or interview performance. If you dm me the HM I’ll tell you who got hired, and, chances are, it isn’t someone like you
Sometimes, requirements are advertised externally, although they have decided on an internal candidate, for the sake of showing process and elimination.
Haha. I’ve been the sacrifice internal too, for a different internal who was close to the HM. The more they “interview” the better/safer
bbxxu Sad to hear that. Exactly, I have been through similar situation too. Worsened the situation with my then Manager. 🙁

any dirt on the web or negative references (not someone that you designated)? could also be you and just need more awareness. or could be any number of reasons not related to you (want different color/gender, role promised to someone’s buddy, etc)
Agree! Could possible for 1-2-3 positions but not for all 4 after 6 panel interviews! Feels so unlucky i am! :(
One thing I can tell you for sure. Most of the teams are interviewing 3-4 candidates at the same time. And they will just pick one of them. Sometimes the 3-4 they pick all are so bad, but they end up picking the least bad. Sometimes all are so good and they just pick the one they like the best. So its just that, there is nothing wrong with you. They may have really liked you. Don't loose hope, keep trying
