There are often stories posted here about someone getting multiple offers from all the big tech companies and making a crazy amount for their level because of the following bidding war. Yet we don't hear about the rejection stories that often. It'd be nice to hear how everyone stacks up for these big tech on sites for a healthy dose of reality. First time trying big tech, currently 0 - 3 for onsites TC: 185k #faang #bigtech
Wait I lied I’ve only done big tech once. Been rejected from dozens of smaller companies, within the 1 month time periods that Im on the market for real, getting one or two offers and being content.

Why does it sound to me like you’re making excuses for each of your onsites?
Probably am making excuses for myself to justify getting rejected, but those reasons are based on reality at the same time. I believe I'm good enough, but interviewing isn't one of my strong points.

Passed Google twice, passed Amazon once (though offer was for a level lower than I wanted so it's arguably a fail), failed FB once. So that's a 75% rate? Maybe 50%. I need to interview more.
Do you have tips for google? Im trying to prepare for an L3 swe interview
5/6. Facebook, Apple, Google, LinkedIn, Uber. Failed Amazon.
Damn, props! How much YoE and how many years have you been interviewing at big tech?
Can I ask how long you prepared for these interviews? If LC, how many questions did you do? And overt what timeframe did you do these interviews?
3 months, about 150 problems mostly mediums and hards. Honestly, I don't think its the LC that has led to rejection. It's the process of writing code out that I sometimes struggle with (talking out everything, edge cases, etc). It's been less than a month.
Did you ever do any mock interviews before? I heard that can sometimes help
