Sorry bud! Any pointers what not to do?

Don’t invest in individual stocks. Just DCA into ETFs.

You didn't even cross a year, and thinking about performance? Be patient, hold long term, and let it grow without worrying too much. Market is volatile, so your numbers will fluctuate in the short run (5% does not mean anything in short run, check back in 5 years to get a long term view). Stick to ETF. But if going for stocks, dont overpay.

Appreciate ur advice! Just wanted to check if I was on right track. I plan to hold long term. Would u also put money on any bonds or cds? Or mostly etfs?

You are. Just dont worry, and dont panic sell.
