What makes you not get into wall street?
Given that most of you are TC chasers and are willing to LC your life away, what’s stopping you from picking up finance knowledge and GTFO to wall street.
How much better is the money?
We are talking 2x goog

I don't know first hand but from what I know the growth can be slower on wall Street.. so at same level you may earn more but that's it.. slower growth for same effort.. high pressure.. layoffs more common
When I read the statistics where only 10% of the people working on wall street end up making money on a longer run.
Lack of WFH options... They require you to be physically present in the office even on the snow days (talking about NY)
Work is substantially more interesting in tech. Vilification is getting similar though between both industries which I never expected to happen
Really? Most SWEs I know do pretty small cog in the machine stuff. Not super innovative stuff.
