Hello all, I secured final rounds with: 1. DoorDash 2. Square 3. Facebook 4. Indeed I have a medical condition (don't worry, I'm an old geezer and I plan to live for at least 40 years) that needs an ongoing treatment. I prefer to stay in network. Amazon has a "blue shield blue cross" company called Premera. So does Microsoft. Google works with Athena - also a "blue shield blue cross" company. I would like to know what are the medical insurance providers of the above companies mentioned. If your company can offer 375+ TC for an SDE3 equivalent , and post-ipo , and your insurer is a "blue shield blue cross" member - feel free to add your company name (+insurance provider name) in the comments. #insurance #facebook #square #doordash #indeed
Facebook has Aetna and Kaiser depending on what you sign up for.
Aetna is problematic for me. The company I mentioned to Google is also with Aetna. I'm trying to research now out of network and how it works. Can I DM you? (Not that i'm sure i know how to DM on blind, i'm more of a backend/dev ops engineer and terrible at UX)
Sure. Just press my name and hit “send message.”
Uber
Which provider ? Can you write the name? I am in a process with Uber as well. Thank you very much for your help!
I literally took my wallet out for you. The company insurance card just says blue shield blue cross on it. How can I find more information?
I believe Indeed has Aetna
LinkedIn has Anthem which is blue cross blue shield and Kaiser
LinkedIn has one of the best insurance plans
Atlassian has even better
Amazon has very good insurance using blue cross premera based on my experience, can definitely offer over 380k TC. PM me for a referral!
I'm an Amazonian. I want to leave.
Sorry, I don't want to leave. The refresher policy of the stocks wants me out.
In the past, I’ve asked recruiters for a brief rundown on their plans or even the group policy numbers. Then, I called those plans and asked for details on their specific coverage. Definitely helps for those times when you have a condition that needs to be covered adequately.
I constantly learn using the blind community. Clearly you can see I was not born here at the US. i've been here for more than 3 years, and constantly learning new things. Your tip is priceless and I'm going to use it.
Sure thing! I’ve only had one recruiter decline to give me their group policy number, but I was still able to call their plan providers and get coverage details using the company’s name. Best of luck!
Square has Aetna HSA / POS / EPO and Kaiser (California only).
Do you know someone who works there?
Yeah, me 😀
Absolutely sad we have to see posts like this.
Same, but i'm now motivated to grind alot on DP now. I suck at DP. And also greedy. My parents were raised in a communist country and migrated to the west (not US) close to their 40s. I think as a result of that I do not excell with greedy (algorithm) questions, as I was not raised as a capitalist. There is a company NOT in "blue shield blue cross" that offered me an amazing position (they up leveled me) , but i might need to turn them down. Unless they want to pay me seriously redicilous amount of money.
You can only get treatment in the Premera network?
