What might be a better company compared to Uber?

I am approaching to the end of my internship at Uber. I liked the team and liked my manager. But the return offer from Uber is just not that good and it's not negotiable so I prepare my self for applying the new grad roles in other company. But as for a new grad student, what companies can be regarded as a better one compared to Uber? My right now target company includes G, FB, LinkedIn. But what about Amazon? The new grad offer from Amazon seems not that attractive. What about smaller companies like Lyft? Isn't it too small for new grad to learn and grow?

If you are at entry level or in early stage of your career then don’t think so much about package, stick to some decent place where you can make moderate and not too low package but can gain lot of skills. If you have got any of above or Uber in your resume then rest of the journey you will be a cakewalk.

What is the offer given by Uber?

Uber vfOW00 OP Jul 29, 2019

Last year for 110k/110k/20k.

Amazon CeoExtra Jul 29, 2019

Some new grads (from MS/PhD program) made it to sde2 which might be competitive. But sde1 is usually lower than G/FB’s L3.

You mean Amazon? Yes, and I am afraid it's just kinda same as Uber will offer.

Snap, OCI, Dropbox, twitter, and Pinterest in addition to the ones u mentioned.

Before joining Airbnb, I was also considering an Uber offer, but also declined it because the comp was unimpressive. We pay well and have good perks.

Thanks! Airbnb is definitely on the list!

Cruise Automation. UIpath.

Lyft's new grad offers are generally better if you can get one. And there is plenty for you to learn

What did you get this year?

I do not receive any details about the offer. I am supposed to know it on Thursday. But i am not positive about it getting better than last year

Uber’s comp on the surface looks uncompetitive (110/110/20), but the bonus structure is quite strong. You can get 11k as a cash bonus, and 22k refresher vested over 4 years, and this is with a 1x multiplier based on performance each year(1-1.2x multiplier is average). This would make the tc conservatively hover around 170k for the first year, excluding relocation bonuses given, and the following years starting at 155k and up since you would have more shares vested. That being said, those companies you listed can offer TCs higher, but it’s pretty negligible. Focus more on learning opportunities imo, especially as a new grad.

Wow, thank you. Those infos are really important. I am not a big fan of fancy tc and I do value the opportunity and growth. But i just don’t want to be payed badly if i have a choice. What might be a good metric for learning opportunity? The size of the company?

@NLsf06 is a 22k annual refresher the target for L3? What about for L4, L5, L6, etc.?
